I am a highly motivated person with
a love of health, physical fitness and the outdoors.
I grew up in Quebec playing ice hockey, snowboarding, skating, white water rafting and later took to surfing on my first solo trip overseas. I somehow ended up in Australia and fell in love with the landscape and culture. I am fortunate enough to be able to say that in the past I have gained employment through what I love doing. Rounding up these experiences made me curious to better understand how to develop a healthy body and manage injuries. This curiosity led me to attain an Advanced Diploma in Health Science and accreditation in Remedial Massage Therapy and Fitness. I have been able to diversify my practice by supporting other industry professionals, appreciating the opportunities to be able to work with a vast range of clientele.
My clinic ‘JP Muscle Therapy’ operates from the Tweed Heads PCYC, where I am a Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor also instructing fitness groups at the Currumbin Rehabilitation Clinic.
My career objectives are to continue learning through experience, research and training for the benefit of providing good service to patients, but to also be able to inspire positive attitudes and choices for general well being.
While there’s limited opportunity to raft or play ice hockey in Australia, I haven’t stopped surfing, skating or snowboarding.
I am also an overly keen participant in Martial Arts with over 20 yrs experience in different disciplines. Currently training at PUMMA Tweed in MMA and BJJ where I also instruct children’s class.
